Creamy broccoli and spinach soup

I like cooking western soup coz it takes so little time and preparation compared to Chinese soup. This time I tried to cook broccoli and spinach soup with cheese and cream. Instead of using the immersion blender, I used a bigger blender to puree this time. But the texture is still lumpy with the broccoli bits in it. Doesn't look that great but I felt so healthy after eating the soup!

Ingredients (serves 2)
half an onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, sliced
1 bunch broccoli, chopped
some spinach
500ml vegetable broth
Cream
Some Parmesan cheese, grated
Salt and black pepper

Directions
1. Fry up the garlic and onion in a pot with olive oil
2. Add the broccoli and cook until bright green
3. Add the vegetable broth and bring it to boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10minutes.
4. Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
5. Transfer the mixture to a blender and puree until smooth.
6. Return it to the pot and boil. Add some salt, pepper, cheese and cream. Stir well and serve.
